Features of Eckel Ball (Sea Urchin Ball)

Eckel Ball: Plastic Eckel Ball, also known as Hedgehog Ball or Sea Urchin Ball, is a commonly used biofilter media known for its excellent performance and long-term improvement of molecular properties. Our Eckel Balls are made of plastic, which makes them lightweight and able to float on the water surface. They are spherical in shape. One of the key characteristics is low water resistance and excellent ventilation. Most Eckel Balls have flow-guiding designs, such as flow guide plates and water distribution channels, to ensure even distribution of water and increase water flow. This enhances gas exchange, increases dissolved oxygen content and removes hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide. They are commonly used in ponds and aquariums.
